Job summary

Uno Minda Limited in Bangalore seeks an Engineer - Maintenance to ensure reliable operation of plant machinery, automation and SPMs through preventive/breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

The role covers mechanical design studies, pneumatic circuits, fixtures, jigs and spare management, with hands-on maintenance of automation and SPMs, plus RCA and safety systems. Diploma/B.E. with 4–6 years experience is required; strong analytical and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical design modification and equipment evaluation.
• Experience in troubleshooting mechanical systems, pneumatic circuits, fixtures and jigs.
• Experience with automation and SPM maintenance, PLC/HMI familiarity.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Experience in preventive & breakdown maintenance planning and documentation.
• Knowledge of ISOTS/EMS audit and safety systems.
• Identify power/cost saving and quality improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design study and equipment evaluation with hands-on implementation.

• Identify power-saving, cost-saving and quality-improvement initiatives.
• HVAC operation and maintenance knowledge will be an added advantage.

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure reliable operation of plant machinery, Automation and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) through effective preventive/breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, spare management and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mechanical design study, equipment evaluation, modification and correction with hands-on experience.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical systems, pneumatic circuits, fixtures, jigs and customized parts.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of Automation and SPM machines.
• Basic PLC & HMI programming/troubleshooting.
• Breakdown analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementation of permanent corrective actions.
