Job summary

The role focuses on troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance of PLC, SCADA, and Level-2 systems, with strong emphasis on industrial networks, OPC UA, and data collection for digitalization initiatives in a steel/process plant setting.

Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in industrial automation and continuous process plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI, and automation system faults.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
• Modify and debug PLC programs per operational needs.
• Maintain backups of PLC, HMI, SCADA, servers, and client systems.

Job Summary

We are looking for an Automation Engineer with 35 years of experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for supporting PLC, SCADA/HMI, Level-2 systems, industrial communication networks, and automation systems in a continuous process plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI, and automation system faults.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Modify and debug PLC programs based on operational requirements.
• Maintain backups of PLC, HMI, SCADA, servers, and client systems.
• Support Level-2 automation and data acquisition systems.
• Troubleshoot industrial communication networks and OPC UA communication issues.
• Perform server/client software installation, upgrades, backup, and restoration.
• Support commissioning, FAT, SAT, and plant startup activities.
• Analyze system faults and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare maintenance reports, backup records, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and plant operations teams for issue resolution.
• Support digitalization, IIoT, and automation improvement initiatives.
