Job summary

SATRAC in Bengaluru, India, seeks an experienced QA leader to drive high‑quality manufacturing through robust welding, painting and inspection processes. You will establish QA plans and ensure conformity to process standards across production lines.

Responsibilities include CAPA analysis and deployment, training of zone QC and welders, coordinating with the customer quality manager, and preparing welding documents (WPS, PQR, WPQ and welder records).

Qualifications

• B. Tech / BE - Mechanical is required.
• Minimum 12+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of welding quality standards and QC tools.
• Experience in CAPA analysis and deployment.
• Experience in training QC personnel and welders.

Responsibilities

• Establish quality assurance plans / check sheets with design & development.
• Coordinate with production manager on quality requirements / critical parameters.
• Schedule quality control personnel to meet production targets.
• Support permanent resolution of recurring issues via check sheets / templates / poka‑yokes.
• Analyze & approve CAPA reports and deploy across the organization.
• Prepare welding documents (WPS, PQR, WPQ, welder records).
• Train zone QC on proper use of check sheets and ensure compliance in production.
• Coordinate with customer quality manager on requirements.
• Train welders on weld quality; develop zone QC and leaders.

Job description

Job Purpose:

Produce High-Quality Products with Proper welding, Painting & PDI quality systems, through implementation of good build in quality & Inspection system.

Principal Accountabilities:

Establish and Implement QA plans

• Establish quality assurance plans / check sheets along with design & development to ensure that all quality parameters are along with field & process quality.
• Co-ordinate with production manager on the quality requirements / check sheets / critical parameters for all production items
• Responsible for scheduling of all quality control personnel to ensure smooth work flow and as per production targets
• Support production manager in permanently resolving – recurring issues through development of check sheets / checking templates / poka –yokes

Analytics and Reporting on Quality

• Analyze & approve CAPA report and take appropriate countermeasures to mitigate repetitions
• Responsible for implementation of all CAPA reports across the organization including horizontal deployment
• Responsible for welding documents preparation like WPS, PQR, WPQ, Welder Continuity records, welder training records etc.

People Management and Development

• Train all zone QC on proper method to use check sheets and ensure that the same is followed in production without any miss
• Co-ordinate with customer quality manager on customer requirements and all other aspects
• Training to all welders – on weld quality through welding engineers
• Train and develop all zone QC and zone leaders on welding quality
