Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Tamil Nadu seeks a QA/QC professional with hands-on expertise in welding, destructive testing, structural fabrication and NDT inspection.

You will coordinate inspections of piping, structures and equipment, prepare work procedures and QP, ensure compliance with ASME, BSEN, AWS, IS and related codes. ASNT/ISNT Level-II certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Welding, Destructive Testing, Structural Fabrication, Quality Assurance & Control, Client Relationship Management, Documentation, Coordination and Team Management.
• Preparation of Work procedure & QP for fabrication and erection of SS/CS Piping, structures, Static/rotary equipment.
• Experience in Conducting WPS/PQR and WPQ as per the applicable codes
• Experience in Inspection of surface preparation and Painting of structures as per the applicable codes/standards.
• Worked with various code provisions such as BSEN, ASME, AWS, IS, IRS.
• Established Welding Procedures for various materials like Structural Steel, LTCS, LAS, Stainless Steel.
• Proficient in maintaining quality standards for in process, incoming materials, ensuring stringent adherence to quality standards, norms & practices, identifying gaps and taking corrective actions.
• Experience in Inspection of Piping, structures and static/rotary equipment as per the approved QP.
• Experience in conducting NDT Inspections (ie Visual, Penetrant testing, Magnetic particle testing, Radiography testing & Ultrasonic testing, Vacuum box testing & Kerosene Leak Testing) and evaluating the discontinuities as per the applicable standards.
• Having valid ASNT/ISNT level -II certificate in VT,PT,MPT,RT,UT & LT
• Experience in Inspection of Manufacturing components at Vendor premises and expediting
• Experience in inspection of Fasteners, Paints and Doors.
