Job summary

Weekday AI (YC W21) is seeking an experienced Plant Head to oversee a single dyeing and printing plant near Mangrol, Surat. This senior role concentrates on running operations smoothly across departments, not on technical work, with a team of 200+.

You will coordinate Maintenance, QA/QC, Stores & Dispatch, Safety & EHS, and Purchase, act as escalation point, manage vendors, handle customer commitments, and ensure environmental compliance and proper licensing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years total experience with at least 3 years as Plant Head / Plant Manager.
• Experience managing a single plant with a team of 200+.
• Background in dyeing & printing (preferred), textile processing, plastics / polymers, chemicals or recycling.
• Advanced Excel (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall plant operations and coordinate Maintenance, QA / QC, Stores & Dispatch, Safety & EHS and Purchase / Procurement.
• Act as the point of escalation for any departmental issue and resolve it to keep operations running.
• Manage vendors and contractors.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure dispatch commitments are met.
• Ensure pollution control and ETP / environmental compliance.
• Manage statutory audits and factory licences.
• Plan and execute capex projects and plant expansion.
• Prepare and present MIS reports to the MD / Director.
