Weekday AI (YC W21) is seeking an experienced Plant Head/Plant Manager to oversee a single dyeing & printing plant in Surat, Gujarat. The role focuses on smooth plant operations, cross-department issue resolution, and leadership of a 200+ team.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years total experience (3+ as Plant Head/Plant Manager), a background in dyeing & printing (preferred), and advanced Excel proficiency. This is an on-site leadership role with capex planning responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years total experience with at least 3 years as Plant Head / Plant Manager.
• Experience managing a single plant with a team of 200+.
• Background in dyeing & printing (preferred); textile processing, plastics / polymers, chemicals or recycling also considered.
• Advanced Excel (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall plant operations and coordinate Maintenance, QA/QC, Stores & Dispatch, Safety & EHS and Purchase / Procurement.
• Act as the point of escalation for any departmental issue and resolve it to keep operations running.
• Manage vendors and contractors.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure dispatch commitments are met.
• Ensure pollution control and ETP / environmental compliance.
• Manage statutory audits and factory licences.
• Plan and execute capex projects and plant expansion.
• Prepare and present MIS reports to the MD / Director.
