Job summary

Jain Sons India is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities at the Kosi Kalan plant. You will plan production, supervise staff, and coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Logistics, and Dispatch teams to meet targets.

The ideal candidate holds a B.Tech/Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline, has 5–8 years in plant operations, and demonstrates strong leadership, problem-solving, and commitment to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Plant Operations or Manufacturing.
  • Experience in Bitumen, Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience in Production Planning, Maintenance, Inventory Management, and Safety Compliance.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and manage plant operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant.
  • Plan and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
  • Ensure smooth plant operations with minimum downtime.
  • Lead and supervise production operators, supervisors, and plant staff.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Logistics, and Dispatch teams.
  • Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machinery, and plant resources.
  • Monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Maintain product quality as per company standards and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
  • Monitor inventory, raw material consumption, and finished goods stock.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for plant maintenance activities.
  • Prepare SOPs and ensure proper implementation of plant SOPs and operational discipline.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 5-8 years of experience in Plant Operations or Manufacturing.
  • Experience in Bitumen, Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
