Job summary

Rane Group in Bengaluru seeks a Dy. Manager/Manager to lead Maintenance & Reliability across mechanical, electrical, automation and utilities, focusing on minimizing downtime and maximizing machine availability.

You will drive TPM, Kaizen and continuous improvement, plan modernization and energy-saving projects, manage budgets, and mentor in-house and contract teams while ensuring safety compliance and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of engineering maintenance experience.
• Experience in plant maintenance and reliability.
• Degree/diploma in EEE/ME.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical, mechanical, automation and utility maintenance to minimize breakdowns and maximize machine availability.
• Drive TPM, autonomous maintenance and Kaizen to improve OEE and reduce losses.
• Plan and execute modernization, automation, and energy-saving projects within budgets.
• Manage external suppliers, OEMs and AMCs to ensure spare parts availability.
• Lead engineering and technical teams; implement skill matrices and multi-skilling.
• Oversee plant utilities and enforce safety standards including LOTO and permits.
• Collaborate with production, quality, procurement and HR to meet facility targets.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee mechanical, electrical, automation, and utility maintenance to minimize breakdowns, reduce downtime, and maximize machine availability using preventive, predictive, and root-cause analysis.
• TPM & Continuous Improvement: Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), autonomous maintenance, and Kaizen initiatives to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and eliminate equipment losses.
• Projects & Budgeting: Plan and execute modernization, automation, and energy-saving projects while managing annual R&M and CAPEX budgets to reduce operational costs.
• Supply Chain & Vendors: Manage external suppliers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) to ensure the steady availability of critical spare parts.
• Team Leadership: Supervise engineering and technical teams, build structured skill Matrix, and lead multi-skilling training programs for both in-house and contract manpower.
• Utilities & Safety Compliance: Oversee plant utilities like compressors, Transformers, DG and HVAC systems while enforcing standard work permits, Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), and statutory safety audits.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, quality, procurement, and HR teams to achieve shared facility targets across safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
