Our client is hiring for a Plant manager who manages the overall plant operations and ensures smooth, efficient, safe and cost-effective production while achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, controlling costs and ensuring timely delivery of finished products.
Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant. Plan and monitor production as per project and customer requirements. Ensure achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets. Optimize manpower, machines, materials and production capacity. Monitor production flow from raw material processing to finished goods. Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions. Ensure proper coordination between Production, Planning, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance and Dispatch.
Prepare and monitor production plans based on orders and delivery schedules. Ensure production is carried out as per approved specifications and BOM. Monitor machine capacity and manpower utilization. Reduce production downtime, rejection, rework and material wastage. Review daily production reports and take corrective action for shortfalls.
Ensure products are manufactured according to defined quality standards. Coordinate with QC to reduce defects, rejection and customer complaints. Establish process controls at critical stages of production. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
Plan manpower requirements based on production workload. Allocate manpower effectively across different production sections. Monitor employee productivity and attendance. Train and develop supervisors and production teams. Establish performance standards and productivity targets.Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with company policies.
Coordinate with the Maintenance team to ensure machine availability. Monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance. Minimize machine downtime and production interruptions. Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of machinery, tools and equipment. Review recurring breakdowns and implement preventive measures.
Control production costs through effective utilization of resources. Monitor material consumption, wastage and yield. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement. Implement Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Kaizen practices where applicable. Monitor section-wise productivity and operating efficiency.
Ensure safe working practices throughout the plant. Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address unsafe conditions. Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental and factory requirements. Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards.
Coordinate with Purchase and Stores to ensure timely availability of materials. Monitor critical raw materials and production consumables. Prevent excess consumption, damage and material wastage. Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished goods.
Coordinate with Dispatch, Sales and Project teams for timely delivery. Prioritize production based on project requirements and delivery commitments. Ensure finished products are ready as per dispatch schedules. Resolve production-related issues affecting project deliveries.
Review daily production, productivity, rejection, wastage and downtime reports. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly plant performance reports. Track KPIs and highlight deviations to management. Present improvement plans and action reports to the management.

Essential: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related Preferred: MBA/PG qualification in Operations or Production Management. Preferred Industry Experience Experience in woodworking, doors, furniture, modular manufacturing, interior products, buildingmaterials or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.

The Plant Manager will be accountable for the overall operational performance of the plant and will have authority to recommend and implement improvements relating to manpower deployment,production processes, productivity, quality, safety and operational efficiency, subject to management approval wherever required.
