Job summary

Shashwath Solution is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our facility in UP. You will drive production planning, resource optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer demand while sustaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing management, with at least 2 years in plant management, plus strong leadership and analytical skills to deliver continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of manufacturing management experience with at least 2 years in plant management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field; Masters is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and ability to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee plant operations including production, maintenance, and logistics.
  • Develop production plans to meet demand and optimize resources.
  • Lead and coach supervisors and staff; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Ensure product quality and regulatory compliance; implement quality management systems.
  • Promote safety with training and audits; address incidents and issues.
  • Develop and manage the plant budget with cost controls.
  • Identify process improvements and lead Lean initiatives to reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and sales; ensure equipment reliability.
  • Prepare and present operational reports and analyze data for decisions.

Job description

Experience: 8+ years of experience in manufacturing management, with a minimum of 2 years in a plant management role.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Oversight:
    • Manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
    • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Ensure that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement and maintain quality management systems and processes.
  4. Safety Management:
    • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations and conducting regular safety training and audits.
    • Investigate and address any safety incidents or compliance issues.
  5. Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the plant budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-control measures.
    • Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and ensure profitability.
  6. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, supply chain, and sales, to ensure alignment and support business objectives.
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  8. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
    • Utilize data analysis to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
