Job summary

Shashwath Solution in Pune is seeking an experienced Plant/Manufacturing Manager to oversee production, maintenance, and logistics. You will develop production plans to meet customer demand, lead a team of supervisors, and ensure quality and safety compliance throughout the plant.

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and staff.

  • Manage plant budget and implement cost-control measures.
  • Drive process improvements and lean initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and sales.
  • Prepare and present operational reports with KPIs.

Job description

Experience: 8+ years of experience in manufacturing management, with a minimum of 2 years in a plant management role.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Oversight:
    • Manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
    • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Ensure that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement and maintain quality management systems and processes.
  4. Safety Management:
    • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations and conducting regular safety training and audits.
    • Investigate and address any safety incidents or compliance issues.
  5. Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the plant budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-control measures.
    • Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and ensure profitability.
  6. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, supply chain, and sales, to ensure alignment and support business objectives.
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  8. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
    • Utilize data analysis to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
