Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight:
- Manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance employee skills and productivity.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain quality management systems and processes.
- Safety Management:
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations and conducting regular safety training and audits.
- Investigate and address any safety incidents or compliance issues.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the plant budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-control measures.
- Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and ensure profitability.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, supply chain, and sales, to ensure alignment and support business objectives.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
- Utilize data analysis to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
