Job summary

PG Technoplast in Pune is seeking an experienced leader to head the plastic injection moulding plant, overseeing P&L and manufacturing operations. You will drive achievement of production plans, improve OEE, productivity and on-time delivery.

The role requires 3–5+ years in plant leadership within high-volume moulding, with strong knowledge of mould management, process optimisation and cost reduction. Leadership, problem-solving, and exposure to Lean TPM or ERP/MES are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastic injection moulding and plant leadership.
• Experience with high-volume/high-tonnage moulding operations.
• Exposure to Lean TPM Six Sigma and ERP/MES is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall moulding plant operations including P&L and manufacturing.
• Achieve production plans, OEE, productivity and delivery targets.
• Drive reductions in scrap, cycle time and conversion cost.
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Lead new mould/product trials and stabilise production.
• Develop production teams and shift operations.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead overall moulding plant operations: Business P&L , Manufacturing Operations.
• Ensure achievement of production plans, OEE, productivity and delivery targets.
• Drive reduction in rejection, scrap, cycle time and conversion cost.
• Manage injection moulding machines, moulds, manpower and plant capacity effectively.
• Ensure adherence to quality, process parameters, safety and 5S standards.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean/TPM and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering and Supply Chain teams.
• Lead new mould/product trials and ensure smooth production stabilisation.
• Develop and manage production teams, shift operations and second-line leadership.
• Monitor plant KPIs and take corrective actions to improve overall performance.

Preferred candidate profile

• 18 - 25 years of experience in plastic injection moulding, with at least 3-5 years in a plant leadership role.
• Strong experience in high-volume / high tonnage moulding operations.
• Good knowledge of moulding processes, mould management, materials and process optimisation.
• Experience in consumer durables, automotive, electronics or similar plastic component industries preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and people-management skills.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma and ERP/MES will be an advantage.
