Job summary

India Japan Lighting in Chennai is seeking a hands-on engineer with deep knowledge of injection moulding to lead development and optimization projects in the plastics sector.

You will drive new mould / new product establishment from DR to SOP, participate in cycle-time and productivity improvements, and report progress to the PE In-Charge. The role demands strong troubleshooting skills to resolve mould issues and meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in injection moulding.
• Exposure to plastic processing technology and mould flow analysis.
• Experience in new mould/new product establishment from DR to SOP.
• Strong troubleshooting to improve existing moulds for cycle time, rejection and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Involve in New Product Establishment from DR to SOP.
• Participate in in-house and supplier activities for cycle time reduction, rejection reduction, and changeover time reduction.
• Ensure timely adherence to SOP requirements for new projects / new processes.
• Handle mould/process troubleshooting and improvement activities.
• Report day-to-day activities and progress to the PE In-Charge.

• Thorough knowledge and hands‑on experience in Injection Moulding.
• Experience in Plastic Industry is preferred.
• Exposure to Plastic Processing Technology and Mould Flow Analysis will be an added advantage.
• Experience in New Mould / New Product Establishment, from DR to SOP.
• Strong experience in troubleshooting and improvement of existing moulds to achieve target cycle time, rejection, and productivity.
