Job summary

vConstruct, a Pune based international construction technology company, seeks a Planning Engineer with strong Primavera P6 expertise for construction planning, schedule analysis, and project controls across multiple sectors. The Lead Planning Engineer will drive schedule quality, mentor the team, and collaborate with stakeholders to support planning and execution.

Ideal candidate has 3–5 years of planning experience with Primavera P6, MSP, and strong communication skills, capable of leading risk

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Architecture or related field.
• 3–5 years of planning experience with Primavera P6.
• Experience in construction scheduling and schedule optimization.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead study, analysis, and optimization of construction schedules in Primavera P6.
• Oversee schedule updates, identify critical and delayed activities, and provide actionable recommendations to project teams.
• Lead risk identification, delay analysis, and Time Impact Analysis for projects.
• Develop, review, and manage resource-loaded P6 baseline schedules, including resource leveling and client approval coordination.
• Monitor project performance through Actual vs. Earned Value and provide insights for decision-making.
• Prepare, review, and present schedule reports, dashboards, and progress updates as per client and project requirements.
• Lead validation of construction progress using digital tools, site updates, models, and project data.
• Review Synchro 4D model development to support schedule optimization and project phasing decisions.
• Lead the development and review of site logistics plans based on project constraints and constructability.
• Lead scope alignment discussions, clarify deliverables, and set expectations with clients and project stakeholders.
• Estimate project efforts, define planning deliverable timelines, and support resource planning.
• Track planned vs. actual effort, manage scope changes, and coordinate change orders.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients for project updates and weekly progress discussions.
• Mentor junior planning engineers and support capability development.

• We are looking for aproactive, detail-oriented planning professional with strong ownership,leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities whiledelivering high-quality planning outputs within deadline
• A successful candidateshould possess: Bachelor’s degree or Higher in one of the following streams -Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, or closely related field
• Advanced proficiencyin MSP + Primavera P6 with preferably 3 to 5 years of planning experience
• Knowledge ofconstruction processes in a project Lifecycle
• Ability to lead workindependently, guide team members, and make sound planning decisions withminimal supervision
• Strong communication,presentation, stakeholder management, and client coordination skills
• Strong analytical,critical, and logical thinking skills
• Ability to identifyand resolve complex issues
• Ability to collaborateeffectively in a team environment and mentor junior team members
