Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Experience in construction operations and BIM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document & Models Management – manage document/version control on cloud platforms to ensure latest information is available to field teams.
• RFI Management – identify RFIs early and link details on drawings for stakeholder awareness.
• Submittal Management – create, track and manage submittals on project management platforms.
• Change Management – track cost changes and generate scope change reports from revised drawings.
• Construction Document & Design Review – review drawings, shop drawings, RFIs for inconsistencies and constructability issues.
• Model Based Coordination – use BIM to resolve clashes and ensure project schedule integrity.
• Quality check – ensure completeness and accuracy of models against design drawings.
• Data Visualization – track progress and quality metrics across the project.
• Process Improvement & Innovation – identify workflow improvements and automation opportunities.

Job description

The Project Engineer – Operations role exists to strengthen howconstruction projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered by ensuring thataccurate, timely, and actionable information flows seamlessly across teams.This role transforms design data, BIM models, and project documentation intoclear guidance that supports predictable outcomes, reduces risk, and improvesdecision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

By proactively identifying issues, improving constructability, andsupporting disciplined workflows, the Project Engineer enables project teams tomove from reactive problem-solving to confident execution.

Responsibilityand Focus Areas:

Document & Models Management–Understand, analyze, and manage the versions of construction documents &models on cloud platform ensuring the latest and greatest information isavailable to field team. The process can involve various Project ManagementPlatforms like ACC Build, Procore, Bluebeam etc.

RFI Management– Earlyidentification of the potential RFI’s (Request for Information) on a projectthrough Drawings & Model based review and coordination, also understandingthe raised RFI to identify appropriate details and portions of drawingsimpacted by RFI and link the same on the drawings for every stakeholder’sawareness.

Submittal Management–Understanding the project specifications and interpreting it to createsubmittal log. Assist the project team in creating, tracking, and managing thesubmittal on Project Management Platforms

Change Management– Through theupdated Drawings and Models, assisting the project in tracking and reflectingthe cost changes (due to changes in Drawings, RFI or any other factor) on theProject Management Platforms. Also, generating a scope change report by comparingthe revised drawings against the current set of drawings, to help the projectteams in validating cost changes.

Construction Document & Design Review– Review various construction documents like Design Drawings,Construction Drawings, Shop Drawings, Submittals and RFIs in thepreconstruction phase to identify inconsistencies, incomplete information, andconstructability issues.

Model Based Coordination–Leveraging BIM, identify and resolve spatial and temporal conflicts betweentrades virtually thereby preempting them in the field which could be costly andcan derail the project schedule. Identify data inconsistencies usingNavisworks.

Quality check modelsforcompleteness, accuracy and constructability based on design drawings andconstruction know-how. Use automation wherever possible.

Use Data Visualizationmeans to track metrics,indicators for project progress, and quality.

Process Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and tools.
• Partner with innovation teams on automation and AI initiatives.
• Document lessons learned and best practices.

A day in this role

The day begins with reviewing priorities, open items, and any risksthat need attention. You look at model updates, documents, and change requeststo ensure the information going to the team is accurate and current. Shortconversations with project managers, engineers, and field teams help align whatneeds to move first. You support client check ins by preparing updates orclarifying next steps. You guide junior team members on technical questions orworkflow challenges. You spend time coordinating with cross functional groupsso information flows without gaps. You also explore improvements in the waywork is done by trying new tools or refining steps that can reduce rework.Before wrapping up, you capture key learnings, update trackers, and prepare forwhat the next day will require.

What You Should Bring

• Bachelor’s degree inEngineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• 2-5 years of experience inconstruction operations and/or BIM
• Strong understanding ofconstruction lifecycle.
• Strongunderstanding of building systems and proficiency with tools such as Revit,Navisworks, Revizto, BIM 360 or ACC, and Procore.
• Strong communication,problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
