Job summary

Amara Raja Infra is seeking a senior planning and scheduling professional to plan, monitor and control MEP works across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and ELV systems. The role requires Primavera P6/MS Project proficiency, along with BIM/Revit and AutoCAD familiarity, to coordinate between design, procurement, execution and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include detailed scheduling, look-ahead programmes, progress tracking, delay analysis, and recovery planning to ensure on-time milestone

Qualifications

Job description

To plan, schedule, monitor and control MEP works including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and ELV, ensuring timely project execution and coordination between design, procurement, execution and subcontractor teams. Primavera P6/MS Project-based scheduling and progress monitoring are commonly expected for this role.

Role & responsibilities

1. Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed MEP project schedules in Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Prepare WBS, baseline programme, activity sequencing and project milestones.
• Prepare weekly and monthly look-ahead programmes.
• Develop manpower and resource-loaded schedules.
• Identify critical and near-critical activities.

2. Progress Monitoring

• Monitor daily/weekly progress of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting and ELV works.
• Compare actual progress against baseline schedule.
• Prepare S-curves, progress reports, dashboards and MIS.
• Identify schedule slippages and highlight risks to the Project Manager.

3. Delay & Recovery Planning

• Conduct delay analysis and identify reasons for programme deviation.
• Prepare recovery and catch-up schedules.
• Monitor critical path and float consumption.
• Coordinate with execution teams to achieve project milestones.

4. Coordination

• Coordinate with MEP execution, Civil, Design, Procurement, QA/QC and subcontractor teams.
• Track drawings, material approvals and long-lead MEP items.
• Monitor material delivery against planned installation dates.
• Participate in weekly/monthly project review meetings.

5. MEP Activities Monitoring

• HVAC Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ducting and piping.
• Electrical HT/LT, panels, transformers, cable trays, cabling and lighting.
• Plumbing Water supply, drainage and sanitary systems.
• Fire Fighting Fire pumps, hydrant, sprinkler and fire alarm interfaces.
• ELV CCTV, access control, data, PA/BMS and related systems.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain planned vs. actual progress.
• Prepare manpower histograms and productivity reports.
• Prepare management dashboards and project MIS.
• Support EOT, delay and contractual documentation wherever required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in building / commercial / institutional / industrial projects.
• Experience in coordinating multiple MEP subcontractors.
• Exposure to fast-track project execution.
• Knowledge of BIM/Revit and AutoCAD will be an advantage.
• Experience in project planning, progress monitoring and recovery scheduling.
