Job summary

Leighton Asia in Navi Mumbai is seeking an experienced MEP Planning Engineer to lead planning and scheduling for complex MEP works on data center projects.

You will develop schedules using Primavera P6, coordinate with teams and stakeholders, and ensure on-time delivery of milestones. This role requires strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with data centers, BIM and project controls tools.

Qualifications

• MEP planning and scheduling experience in construction projects
• Experience with data center projects is preferred
• Excellent reporting and coordination abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, recovery schedules, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors for timely MEP execution.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, delays, and mitigation measures.
• Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards.
• Track procurement, manpower deployment, and resource loading.
• Support project controls, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Ensure MEP deliverables align with milestones and client requirements.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced MEP Planning Engineer to join our team in Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning and scheduling MEP works, with hands-on expertise in Primavera P6. Candidates with experience in Data Center projects will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, recovery schedules, and progress tracking reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure timely execution of MEP activities.
• Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks, delays, and mitigation measures.
• Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and project status presentations.
• Track procurement, manpower deployment, and resource loading against project schedules.
• Support project controls, forecasting, and project performance reporting.
• Ensure MEP deliverables are completed in line with project milestones and client requirements.
  

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP Planning & Scheduling
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (Mandatory)
• Experience in construction projects involving MEP systems
• Excellent planning, coordination, and reporting skills
• Experience working on Data Center projects
• Exposure to mission-critical facilities, hyperscale data centers, or large infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of MS Project, Power BI, BIM, or project controls tools
• Primavera P6 Certification is an advantage
