Job summary

Abs Fujitsu General in Delhi, India is seeking a Project Planner MEP (Site/Office) to coordinate with sales, engineering and procurement, and to develop detailed project schedules from initiation to completion.

You will prepare procurement trackers, track progress, write MoMs, update schedules, and report monthly. Strong MS Project/Excel and Primavera P6 skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mech/Elec) preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project and Excel; Primavera P6 knowledge.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and schedules effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to gather inputs and prepare the Project Charter.
• Develop Level 2/3 schedules using MS Project or Excel based on inputs.
• Prepare Procurement Tracker with material lists and PR dates.
• Submit Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) with updated actuals.
• Attend customer progress/planning meetings with PM as required.
• Coordinate with Engineering Lead to establish the Document Issue Schedule.
• Freeze baseline schedules with stakeholder acceptance.
• Provide weekly updates on Engineering DIS and Procurement schedules.
• Identify slippages and escalate as per defined protocols.

Job Description: Project Planner MEP (Site/Office)

Role Overview-The Project Planner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of MEP projects. This position requires close coordination with internal and external stakeholders, preparation of detailed project schedules, management of documentation, and continuous tracking of progress from project handover to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Project Initiation & Planning

• Collaborate with Sales to gather project inputs and prepare the Project Charter.
• Develop Level 2/3 schedules using MS Project or Excel, based on sales inputs and prior experience.
• Participate in internal Kick-Off Meetings (KOM).

Internal Coordination & Kick-off

• Present schedules and clarify deliverables required for timely execution.
• Document and circulate Minutes of Meeting (MoM).
• Finalize the Project Charter post-KOM and review documentation.
• Coordinate with Engineering Lead to establish the Document Issue Schedule.

Detailed Planning & Documentation

• Prepare Procurement Tracker with material lists and PR dates.
• Co-ordination with Procurement Lead to finalize delivery schedules.
• Develop a Detailed Works Program (DWP) in collaboration with PM, Engineering, Procurement & other stakeholders as required.

Works Program & Resource Planning

• Estimate manpower/resources based on tender BOQ (installation scope).
• Freeze baseline schedules with stakeholder acceptance.
• Submit DWP with narrative to the customer and follow up for approval.
• Provide weekly updates on Engineering DIS and Procurement schedules.
• Identify slippages and escalation as per defined protocols.
• Attend customer progress/planning meetings with PM as required.

Tracking & Reporting

• Submit Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) with updated actuals.
• Prepare/Maintain daily/weekly tracking sheets.
• Update Zonal Project Status File monthly and share with HO Planning.
• Ensure timely reporting to customers as per contractual requirements.
