Job summary

Hripple Solutions is seeking a Planning Engineer to oversee project planning from initiation to completion. The role involves developing detailed schedules, bar charts, and cash flows using MS Project, coordinating with multiple departments, and tracking progress against the master plan.

The candidate will explain critical path activities to the site team, prepare periodical reports, identify risks, and assist in resource planning to ensure project milestones are met.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare project activities in MS Project, from initiation to completion.
• Prepare initial schedules, bar charts, and cash flows with inputs from departments.
• Coordinate with departments and monitor progress against master schedule.
• Provide site team with approved schedules and explain critical paths.
• Prepare stage-wise tracing reports and revisions records.
• Identify and report risks; assist in risk management and mitigation.
• Support Project Manager with manpower requirements and resource adequacy.

Role: Planning Engineer

Work Experience

1. 1. Planning The position is responsible to plan and prepare the entire project activities from project initiation to completion in MS Project software. After seeking the proper approvals, the position then Prepares initial schedule to work-out details in the form of bar charts and cash flows, while taking inputs from all concerned departments & authorities with reference to the master bar chart for drawings, manpower, material, machinery etc. Coordinates with concerned parties and monitors the same from time to time for the purpose of tracking progress with regards to Planned vs Actual schedule.
2. 2. Coordination for Execution The position will coordinate with all the concerned following departments with regards to execution of each stage. Providing approved schedule to site team and explain the details on critical paths and activities. Providing specific information on schedule in terms of lead/lag (plan v/s actual) by visiting site as per requirements to check & verifying actual site progress
3. 3. Tracking The position will be responsible to monitor & track site activities, for all sites, through their daily progress report with regards to their respective master bar chart, especially activities such as: Receipt of drawings Raising Material Requests (M.R) Receipt of P.O and W.O Prepare and submit stage wise tracing report to the concerned site team, P.M., HOD & Directors while maintaining records for all revisions.
4. 4. Reports The incumbent is responsible to prepare & submit various reports on periodical basis as per requirement, mainly Monthly progress reports Monthly/Quarterly Data for estimation department so as to prepare cash flow reports Costing report (plan v/s actual) as required
5. 5. Risk Management Based on the progress of the project the position will proactively help To identify, highlight and prepare for risks Immediately report risks to higher authorities Ensure project & operation risk are clearly recorded after identification and effective management
6. 6. Manpower/Resource Management The position will assist the Project Manager To raise requirement of manpower while following standard procedure To monitor adequacy of manpower to achieve project schedule & in case of discrepancy intimate
