City Trade Arcade is seeking an experienced Project Planner to lead master schedules for civil construction projects. You will develop detailed plans, align with site teams, monitor progress, and update schedules with changes to ensure on-time delivery.
The role requires a Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering and 6–8 years of planning experience in real estate or construction, with proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, and AutoCAD. On-site work in Odisha.
Prepare and maintain the Master Project Schedule using MS Project (MSP). Develop detailed project schedules covering major construction activities, milestones, and deliverables. Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily work programmes in coordination with site teams. Update project schedules based on actual site progress and approved changes. Establish activity timelines and monitor progress against planned targets.
Monitor actual project progress against the approved baseline schedule. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Identify delays, slippages, and deviations from the planned schedule. Analyse the reasons for delays and highlight activities affecting project completion. Prepare recovery / catch-up plans wherever required. Maintain proper records of planned vs. actual progress
Prepare daily manpower deployment and labour reports. Coordinate with site teams to assess manpower requirements as per project schedules. Monitor manpower productivity and deployment against planned requirements. Highlight manpower shortages or deployment issues affecting project progress.
Prepare the Material Procurement Planning Schedule in line with the monthly project plan. Coordinate with the Procurement and Stores teams to ensure timely availability of required materials. Track material requirements and identify potential procurement-related delays. Ensure procurement activities are aligned with project milestones and site requirements
Coordinate regularly with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Contractors, Procurement, QS/Billing and other relevant teams. Conduct/participate in regular progress review meetings. Collect and validate site progress data for schedule updates. Follow up with site teams regarding pending activities and project targets. Ensure proper communication of project priorities and timelines.
Identify and track site hindrances, constraints, and critical issues affecting project timelines. Maintain a proper hindrance register with details of the issue, responsible party, impact, and resolution status. Escalate critical delays and issues to the Project Head / Project Manager. Support the project team in developing mitigation and recovery measures.
Maintain updated project schedules, progress reports, manpower reports, procurement schedules, and other planning records. Prepare planning-related MIS reports as required by management. Ensure timely submission and accuracy of project planning data. Support management in reviewing project performance and completion forecasts
Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline. Minimum 6-8 years of experience in project planning, preferably in the real-estate / construction industry. Candidates with experience in residential/commercial building projects will be preferred.
Good knowledge of MS Project (MSP). Good working knowledge of MS Excel. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD. Understanding of construction/project planning and scheduling. Ability to prepare and analyse project progress reports. Knowledge of manpower and material planning. Ability to track planned vs. actual project progress
