Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in India (Barasat, West Bengal) is seeking a Planning Engineer to assist in development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, prepare baseline schedules, milestones, and WBS, and monitor progress.

You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction teams and vendors, prepare review presentations and progress reports, and ensure updates reflect in IPMS/Wrench/Dreams, supporting recovery plans for schedule slippages.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Assist in preparation baseline schedules, milestones, and detailed work breakdown structures (WBS).
• Assist in Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
• Assist in Identify critical activities and monitor the critical path.
• Support preparation of recovery plans and mitigation measures for schedule slippages. Forecast project completion dates and highlight potential delays.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain status updates and validate progress data.
• Ensure project information is updated in IPMS/Wrench/Dreams and reflected accurately in review reports/report management.
• Conduct variance analysis between planned and actual progress.
• Organize and facilitate weekly, fortnightly, and monthly review meetings with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and vendor teams.
• Record and circulate Minutes of Meeting (MoM)
• Monitor closure of actions from previous review meetings and highlight overdue items.
• Prepare review presentations, dashboards, milestone status reports, and action trackers.
• Prepare weekly, fortnightly, and monthly progress reports.
• Track engineering deliverables, material procurement, manufacturing, and site execution progress.
• Ensure adherence to planning procedures, SOPs, and reporting requirements.
• Generate S-curves, manpower histograms, and progress measurement reports.
