Job summary

TQ Cert Services Telangana is seeking a project planning and scheduling professional with a strong background in plant expansion, equipment erection, and maintenance turnarounds. You will develop and update detailed schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, monitor progress against baselines, and coordinate across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Civil Engineering.
• 3 to 7 years of hands-on industrial plant, manufacturing, or heavy engineering project experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, SAP/ERP modules, and MS Excel.
• Understanding of metallurgical/manufacturing plant layout and standard contracting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Baseline Development: create and update detailed project schedules with milestones for plant work.
• Progress Tracking: monitor progress and identify bottlenecks or delays with recovery plans.
• Resource Mapping: coordinate equipment, labor, and material allocation across teams.
• Reporting: prepare DPR/WPR/MPR and management dashboards.
• RA Bill Verification: review and certify running and final bills from contractors.
• BOQ Management: prepare and update BOQ, rate analysis, and measurement sheets.
• Material Reconciliation: track consumption against allowances.
• Invoice Processing: coordinate with finance for client invoicing and audits.
• Budget Monitoring: track CapEx/ OpEx to prevent overruns.
• Change Management: evaluate variation orders and maintain change registers.

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Baseline Development: Create and update detailed project schedules, timelines, and milestones for plant expansion, equipment erection, or maintenance turnarounds using Primavera P6 or MS Project.


• Progress Tracking: Monitor daily/weekly progress against baseline plans, identify bottlenecks or critical path delays, and propose effective recovery measures.


• Resource Mapping: Coordinate equipment, labor, and material allocation across multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil).


• Reporting: Prepare Daily (DPR), Weekly (WPR), and Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) alongside management dashboards.

Billing & Quantity Surveying

• RA Bill Verification: Review, measure, and certify Running Account (RA) bills and final bills submitted by contractors and vendors.


• BOQ Management: Prepare and update Bill of Quantities (BOQ), rate analysis, and measurement sheets against site execution.


• Material Reconciliation: Track consumption of steel, cement, refractory bricks, piping, and free-issue copper manufacturing components against theoretical allowances.


• Invoice Processing: Coordinate with internal finance teams for client invoicing, payment tracking, and audit clearances.

Cost Control & Contract Management

• Budget Monitoring: Track capital expenditure (CapEx) or operational budgets to prevent cost overruns.


• Change Management: Evaluate variation orders, extra item claims, and scope changes, maintaining updated change order registers.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Civil Engineering.


• Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on industrial plant, manufacturing, or heavy engineering project experience.


• Technical Software: Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, SAP / ERP modules, and MS Excel.


• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of metallurgical/manufacturing plant layout, heavy machinery installation, and standard contracting procedures.
