Job summary

Extension Architecture is seeking a Planning Architect in India to lead planning submissions and technical drawings for residential extension and planning projects. You will collaborate with our Indian and UK teams to deliver high-quality planning deliverables.

The role requires proficiency in Revit (2+ years) and experience in architectural planning, with a strong design sense and excellent English communication. Prior UK work experience in a planning practice is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in architectural/planning roles.
• Proficient in Revit (2+ years essential).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Understanding of UK planning policy is a plus.
• Clear communication and strong design sense.
• Bachelor of Architecture or related degree.
• Must have prior UK work experience in a planning practice (mandatory).

The Role

We're seeking a creative, driven Planning Architect who is technically sound, professional, and eager to collaborate and grow. You'll be an integral part of our Planning team, contributing to a range of residential extension and planning projects - working closely with both our Indian and UK teams.

What You'll Be Doing

Preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting documentation

What We're Looking For

• Up to 3 years of experience in an architectural/planning role
• Strong command of Revit (2+ years' experience essential)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit
• Understanding of UK planning policy and processes is a plus
• Solid design sensibility and clear communication skills
• Confidence presenting ideas and contributing to creative discussions
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
• A degree in Architecture, Planning, or a related field
