Job summary

MediaTek Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Physical Verification engineer to own and drive full-chip sign-off in DRC, LVS, ANT, ERC, ESD and PERC for tape-out. You will coordinate with implementation teams to resolve layout issues and deliver automation to speed the flow.

The role requires a strong background in Calibre/ICV, UNIX/Linux, and scripting (Tcl/Perl/C-shell). Excellent diagnostics, communication and problem solving are essential to ensure successful tapeouts of complex chips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics or CS.
• 7+ years physical verification or design experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive full-chip Physical Verification closure (DRC, LVS, ANT, ERC, ESD, PERC) for tape-out.
• Collaborate with Place & Route to resolve layout integration issues.
• Provide automation to improve tape-out flow.
• Coordinate with IP owners and manufacturing on related issues.
• Report tapeout issues and ensure successful tapeout.

Job description

• Work with various implementation team to drive full-chip Physical Verification Sign-off closure in the area of (DRC, LVS, ANT, ERC, ESD, PERC) for tape-out.
• Co-work with Place & Route team to resolve full-chip layout integration issues.
• Work with various implementation team to drive Physical Verification
• Coordinates with internal IP owners on IP related issues.
• Coordinates with Manufacturing Team on DRC related issues.
• Provide automation solutions to improve efficiency in tape-out flow.
• Report on tapeout issues.

Requirement

• Bachelor/Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering / Computer Science
• 7+ years of physical verification or design experience
• Preferably well-versed in Calibre, ICV
• Proficient in script programming, such, Tcl, Perl or C-shell
• Proficient in UNIX (Linux) platforms
• Track record of successful tapeout of chips
• Strong communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills
