Job summary

Solar Industries India in Maharashtra seeks an experienced payroll professional to manage daily wage and contract labour payroll across sites. You will ensure accurate wage calculations based on attendance, muster rolls, shifts, overtime, and piece rates, and drive strict compliance with regional wage rules.

The role covers attendance records, statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Labour Welfare Fund, Bonus, Gratuity, and relevant acts), contractor coordination, and payroll reporting for audits.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of experience handling labour/contract payroll.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and wage compliance.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, or plant operations preferred.
• Immediate joiner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for daily wage, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly labour.
• Maintain muster rolls, attendance registers, and wage registers; verify attendance.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements; manage PF, ESI, Labour Welfare Fund, Bonus, Gratuity; handle various acts.

Role & responsibilities

Payroll Processing

• Process payroll for daily wage, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly labour
• Calculate wages based on attendance, muster rolls, shifts, overtime, and piece rates
• Ensure compliance with minimum wage notifications applicable to the region and skill category
• Handle advances, recoveries, penalties, and incentives

Attendance & Records

• Maintain muster rolls, attendance registers, and wage registers
• Coordinate with site supervisors for attendance verification
• Maintain contractor-wise and site-wise labour data

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements
• Process and maintain records for:
• PF & ESI
• Labour Welfare Fund
• Bonus, Gratuity (where applicable)
• Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act
• Shops & Establishment / Factories Act
• Prepare and submit statutory returns and challans on time

Contractor & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with labour contractors for wage data and compliance documents
• Verify contractor bills, attendance sheets, and statutory remittances
• Ensure contractors follow labour law compliance and documentation

Reporting & Audits

• Generate payroll reports, wage summaries, and compliance reports
• Support internal and government labour audits
• Maintain accurate payroll documentation for inspection

Preferred candidate profile

• 8-15 years of experience handling labour / contract payroll.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and wage compliance
