Job summary

Food Matters Group is seeking an experienced Payroll & Compliance Executive to manage end-to-end payroll processing and ensure statutory compliance across applicable labour laws. The role requires hands-on experience with payroll software, statutory filings, and audits.

As part of the team, you will process monthly payroll, ensure deductions, handle PF/ESIC/PT/LWF, manage registrations and returns, and coordinate with HR and finance for accurate reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in Commerce, HR, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll processing and statutory compliance experience.
• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll accurately and on time with deductions and reimbursements.
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, and Income Tax provisions.
• Handle PF/ESIC registrations, monthly challans, and annual returns.
• Coordinate with finance for Form 16 issuance.
• Maintain attendance, leave records, and settlements.
• Liaise with government departments during audits or inspections.
• Stay updated on changes in labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Prepare MIS reports related to payroll and compliance for management review.
• Handle employee queries related to payslips, PF withdrawals, tax declarations, etc.
• Coordinate with HR for new joiner/exit payroll and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including salary calculations, deductions, and reimbursements
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, LWF, Gratuity, and other statutory requirements
• Handle PF/ESIC registrations, monthly challans, and annual returns
• Manage TDS calculations on salary and coordinate with the finance team for Form 16 issuance
• Maintain employee attendance, leave records, and full & final settlements
• Liaise with government departments/labour inspectors during audits or inspections
• Stay updated on changes in labour laws and statutory compliance requirements
• Prepare MIS reports related to payroll and compliance for management review
• Handle employee queries related to payslips, PF withdrawals, tax declarations, etc.
• Coordinate with HR for new joiner/exit formalities related to payroll and compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, HR, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance
• Strong knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, and Income Tax provisions
• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel
