Job Title: Payroll & HR Compliance Executive / Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced HR professional with strong expertise in Payroll Management, HR Compliance, Labour Laws, PF and ESIC. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee documentation, and adherence to applicable labour laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including attendance, leave, salary inputs, deductions, incentives and final payroll validation.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, TDS and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Handle employee PF and ESIC registrations, transfers, corrections, withdrawals and related queries.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Labour Laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain and update statutory records, registers, returns and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with statutory authorities, auditors and external consultants during inspections and audits.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and payments within prescribed timelines.
- Monitor changes in labour legislation and advise management on applicable compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular payroll reconciliation and compliance audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate employee master data and payroll-related records.
- Prepare monthly and periodic MIS reports related to payroll, headcount, statutory compliance and employee costs.
- Handle employee queries related to salary, PF, ESIC, deductions and statutory benefits.
- Support HR audits and ensure proper documentation for internal and external audits.
- Work closely with HR, Finance and business teams for smooth payroll and compliance operations.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong expertise in Payroll Processing and Management.
- Excellent knowledge of PF and ESIC compliance.
- Good knowledge of Indian Labour Laws and statutory compliances.
- Strong understanding of statutory returns, challans, registers and documentation.
- Advanced / Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas and data analysis.
- Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Graduate / Postgraduate in HR, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
- 37 years of relevant experience in Payroll, HR Operations and Statutory Compliance.
- Candidates with hands on experience in PF, ESIC and Labour Law compliance will be preferred.
- Experience in managing large employee populations and monthly payroll processing will be an added advantage.
- Candidates from BFSI, NBFC, Banking, Retail or other large organisations will be preferred.
- Should be highly proficient in MS Excel and HR/payroll systems.
- Strong compliance orientation with the ability to meet statutory deadlines.
