PeopleStrong in Pune, Maharashtra, India is seeking an OT Technician to support the operating theatre team. You will ensure patients arrive on time, prepare the OT with lights, equipment, and supplies, and keep the environment sterile for surgeries.
The role involves assisting during procedures, handing sterile trays to the surgical team, and aiding patient transfer to recovery or ICU as needed.

Ensure that posted patients are brought for the surgery from the wards 30 minutes before the schedule time.
Preparation of OT before Cases:
Check and prepare the OT - Operating lights, Ceiling lights, OT table, Cautery machine, Defibrillator, light source, suction machine, C-arm, Laparoscopy Trolley etc.
Keep things ready for the operation - sterile sets & disposable consumables.
After the surgery
Help for shifting the patient to recovery/ICU.
Clean & replace the article properly.
Prepare the OT for the next / emergency case.
keep Betadine scrub in the scrub area
Make sure that enough plastic aprons are in place.
In the changing room, keep the scrub suites according the sizes, keep enough caps & masks.
Change water in the water bath weekly.
Ensure cleaning of equipment as per protocol.
Receiving the patient
Wishing the patient, identifying the patient with their identification band, changing patient’s clothes, shifting the patient on the OT trolley & taking in the OT.
Helping during the cases.
Helping the scrub nurse as required for opening the sterile trays & other disposable.
Help the surgical team for wearing sterile gown.
Connecting all the tubing’s to the machinery-- suction, Cautery machine etc.
Helping the surgical team as & when required.
Adjusting the Cautery as & when required.
Connect ICD tubing’s
Helping in applying dressing & crape bandages at the end of the case before shifting.
