Mane Care Hospital is hiring an OT Technician to assist in operation theatre preparation, surgical support, sterilization, equipment handling, and patient safety. The role requires knowledge of OT protocols, surgical instruments, infection control, and emergency preparedness. The candidate will work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and hospital staff to ensure smooth and safe surgical procedures.

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operation theatre before surgery by arranging instruments, equipment, linen, and consumables.
• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures as required.
• Check availability and working condition of OT lights, suction, cautery, monitors, and surgical equipment.
• Maintain strict sterilization, aseptic technique, and infection control standards inside the OT.
• Clean, disinfect, pack, and arrange surgical instruments before and after procedures.
• Support patient shifting, positioning, preparation, and safety checks before surgery.
• Maintain OT records, surgical checklists, procedure details, and instrument count documentation.
• Ensure emergency drugs, oxygen, suction, and resuscitation equipment are available and functional.
• Handle biomedical waste disposal according to hospital and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with CSSD, nursing, pharmacy, and store departments for OT material requirements.
• Assist in maintaining stock of surgical consumables, sutures, dressings, and sterile supplies.
• Report equipment malfunction, shortage of materials, or safety concerns to the concerned authority.
• Support post-operative cleaning and OT readiness for the next procedure.
• Follow hospital protocols for patient confidentiality, hygiene, safety, and professional conduct.
• Learn and follow standard operating procedures for different surgeries and OT workflows.
