Job summary

Drlogy is looking for an OT Technician to support operation theatre preparation and patient care at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing the OT room, arranging surgical instruments, and assisting in various surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe environment.

Candidates should have a Diploma in OT Assistance or a related qualification, with 2–7 years of experience in the field. Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and patient safety practices is essential.

Qualifications

Job description

The OT Technician will support operation theatre preparation, surgical instrument arrangement, equipment readiness, sterile workflow, patient shifting, and procedure documentation at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai. This requires Diploma in OT Assistance or graduation with diploma preferred, with 2–7 years of experience in OT, orthopedics, ENT, nursing support, patient care, or biomedical coordination.

• Prepare OT room, surgical instruments, linen, equipment, and consumables before procedures.
• Check OT lights, suction, cautery, oxygen, monitors, and emergency equipment readiness.
• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, OT nurses, and clinical staff during procedures.
• Support patient shifting, positioning, draping, and OT setup.
• Maintain sterile field, aseptic technique, and infection control standards.
• Coordinate with CSSD, biomedical, nursing, housekeeping, stores, orthopedics, and ENT teams.
• Maintain OT logs, equipment checklists, material usage records, and documentation.
• Report equipment issues, missing items, or safety concerns to seniors promptly.
• Clean and arrange OT after procedures as per hospital SOP.
• Follow PPE, biomedical waste, patient safety, and OT discipline guidelines.
• Support emergency surgery readiness and urgent OT preparation.
• Ensure smooth, safe, and sterile operation theatre support.
