Job summary

TrueHRIS is seeking an OT technician to prepare and manage the operating theatre for scheduled surgeries. You will assist surgeons and nurses, handle instruments, and ensure sterility and readiness of the OT.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, coordinating with medical teams, and ensuring post-procedure disinfection and readiness. The role requires strict adherence to infection control policies and hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in surgical procedures and OT preparation.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control.
• Ability to coordinate with surgeons and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange the OT for scheduled surgeries and procedures.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
• Ensure availability and proper handling of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform sterilization and proper maintenance of surgical instruments as per protocol.
• Check and maintain OT equipment before and after procedures.
• Assist in maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards in the OT.
• Ensure proper preparation and positioning of patients before surgery.
• Maintain accurate records of surgeries, procedures, instruments, and OT consumables.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other departments for smooth OT functioning.
• Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and readiness of the OT after every procedure.
• Check availability of emergency drugs, surgical items, and other required consumables.
• Follow hospital policies, OT protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control practices.
