Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CNC Press Brake, tube bending and pipe bending.
• Knowledge of Sheet Metal Fabrication and DFMA principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience in tooling selection, process optimization and quality control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo preferred).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC sheet metal, tube and pipe bending machines.
• Optimize bending processes, tooling, and machine parameters to meet targets.
• Review drawings from a DFMA perspective and suggest manufacturability improvements.
• Ensure compliance with dimensional, quality and safety requirements.
• Troubleshoot process, tooling and quality issues to reduce downtime.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
• Drive continuous improvement for productivity and cost reduction.
• Support new product development and production ramp-up.

Job Purpose

Responsible for operating, programming, and optimizing CNC sheet metal and pipe bending machines while applying DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) principles to improve manufacturability, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC sheet metal, tube, and pipe bending machines.
• Optimize bending processes, tooling selection, and machine parameters to achieve production targets.
• Review drawings and designs from a DFMA perspective and provide manufacturability improvements.
• Ensure compliance with dimensional, quality, and safety requirements.
• Troubleshoot process, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime and rework.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth execution of projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, and process standardization.
• Support new product development, process validation, and production ramp-up activities.

Required Skills
