Job summary

Greythr is seeking an experienced Bending Machine Operator to set up and operate bending equipment for sheet metal components per engineering drawings.

You will read job specifications, select tools and parameters, verify first parts, and ensure products meet dimensional tolerances while maintaining a clean, safe work area under 5S standards. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate bending machines, including press brake and sheet metal bending machines.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, job specifications, and bending instructions.
• Set up the machine by selecting the appropriate tools, dies, punches, and machine parameters.
• Perform bending operations according to specified angles, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Check the first piece and ensure dimensions and angles meet quality requirements.
• Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, measuring tapes, and angle gauges.
• Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy, surface defects, and bending quality.
• Follow production plans and achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain proper material identification and prevent material mix-ups.
• Follow safety procedures while operating machines and handling materials.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Report machine breakdowns, tool damage, and quality issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain production records and inspection reports as required.
• Keep the work area clean and organized according to 5S standards.
