Job Description - Operations Manager

1) Cash Position (today) + 4-week cash forecast

Track: Bank balance by account + next 4 weeks inflows/outflows

Daily: update cash today + collections expected today

Weekly: roll forward the 4-week forecast

2) Payables Control (what must be paid vs can be delayed)

Track: Vendor dues by due date + supply risk” vendors (critical suppliers/forwarder/customs agent)

Daily: check next 7-day due list

Weekly: payment plan aligned to cash forecast

3) Import Pipeline

Track: Each import shipment: PO date ETD ETA clearance warehouse inward

Daily: check status of live shipments (forwarder updates)

Weekly: expected arrivals next 30–45 days

4) Landed Cost Accuracy (prevents margin illusion)

Track: Landed cost per SKU (product + freight + insurance + duty + clearing + local freight)

Per shipment: close a “Shipment Cost Sheet” and update item cost in system

5) Inventory Reorder Control (avoid stock-outs + overstock)

Track: For top SKUs: stock on hand, average monthly sale, lead time, safety stock, reorder point

Weekly: reorder review for A-items

6) Inventory Accuracy (book stock = real stock)

Track: Cycle count variance % and value

Daily: inward/outward entries must be same‑day

Weekly: cycle count A-items

7) Dispatch Accuracy + POD Discipline (prevents AR disputes)

Track: dispatch errors, missing PODs, delivery delays

Daily: verify pick/pack + courier LR + invoice linkage

Weekly: list of invoices without POD after 7 days

Monday to Friday - 9:30 - 6:30

Saturday - 9:30 - 4pm
