Job summary

Kriya in Mysuru is seeking an Operations & Vendor Manager to ensure flawless on-ground execution from planning to delivery for all events.

The role is highly execution-oriented: you will work with founders, creative teams, clients and vendors, coordinate checklists, timelines, and on-site operations, and own delivery end-to-end, while staying within budgets and maintaining excellent client experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Prior experience managing vendors and on-ground event execution
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets
  • Comfortable creating schedules, checklists and trackers
  • Willingness to work weekends, evenings and extended hours during events, and travel locally for venues/events
  • Valid driving licence — an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Execution: Prepare checklists, timelines and execution plans; coordinate setup, event flow and dismantling; be present on-ground and own delivery start to finish
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain a strong vendor network (décor, florals, lighting, sound, rentals, manpower, etc.); negotiate rates and terms; maintain rate cards and evaluate vendors post-event
  • On-Ground Problem Solving: Handle last-minute changes calmly, coordinate multiple vendors simultaneously, and keep the client experience smooth even when things go wrong behind the scenes
  • Cost Tracking: Compare quotations, track expenses and vendor payments, stay within approved budgets
  • Team Coordination: Brief and coordinate event coordinators, freelancers and vendor teams on-site
  • Process: Maintain SOPs, checklists and vendor databases; document learnings after every event

Job description

As an Operations & Vendor Manager , you will be responsible for ensuring that every event moves smoothly from planning to execution.

You will work closely with the founders, creative team, clients and vendors to make sure that what is planned on paper is executed perfectly on-ground.

This is a highly execution-oriented role. You should enjoy being on the field, solving problems, coordinating people and making things happen.
