Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Coimbatore seeks a seasoned NPI/Operations professional with 6–10 years of experience to own customer relationships and drive end-to-end transfer and ramp-up activities. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure timely delivery.

Key responsibilities include leading factory/site transfers, developing and tracking NPI milestones, and ensuring manufacturing

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of cross-functional experience in NPI and manufacturing programs.
• Experience leading product transfer activities (Factory/Site Transfer) and ramp-up.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships from an operations/delivery perspective.

Job Description

• Own the overall customer relationship from an operations and delivery perspective.
• Lead product transfer activities (Factory Transfer / Site Transfer) for seamless production transition.
• Develop, track, and drive overall NPI project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage customer demand planning, production ramp-up, and delivery commitments.
• Plan manufacturing capacity, resources, and production readiness to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service.
• Drive manufacturing readiness, factory readiness, and infrastructure readiness before mass production.
• Lead CAPEX planning, approval coordination, and manufacturing resource planning.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and operational costs to ensure business targets are achieved.
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation plans, and drive issue resolution across functions.
• Ensure on-time execution of NPI milestones from prototype builds through mass production.
• Implement NPI security controls, including controlled access and confidential build management.
• Ensure customer intellectual property (IP) protection and compliance with security requirements.
• Coordinate customer communications, progress reviews, and status reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement in NPI execution, manufacturing efficiency, quality, cost, and on-time delivery through cross-functional collaboration.
