Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Coimbatore seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary R&D programs in the Aerospace sector from concept to product validation and testing.

You will monitor costs and schedules with dashboards, conduct reviews with stakeholders, manage procurement and subcontracting, engage with supply chain and customers, and apply project management tools such as MS Project and Jira to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree required.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in aerospace project management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project/product development plan for multi-disciplinary R&D programs from concept to validation and testing.
• Monitor project cost and schedule with dashboards; report to management.
• Conduct project reviews with stakeholders and manage risks and mitigations.
• Prepare procurement/subcontracting documentation and manage supplier engagement to meet schedules.
• Engage with supply chain and customers to align requirements and proposals; drive on-time delivery.

Job Description

• Prepare Project/Product development plan for multi-disciplinary R&D programs in Aerospace sector from concept to product validation and testing.
• Project Cost and Schedule monitoring and reporting through relevant dashboards to management.
• Conduct project reviews with relevant stake holders.
• Identifying potential risks and take mitigation action towards on time delivery of project.
• Prepare relevant project documentation needed for transactions (viz procurement, subcontracting etc..) including commercial and schedule to execute within factory as well as with the supply chain.
• Engage with supply chain, to ensure full kit towards the plan to meet R&D schedule and cost.
• Engage in customer meetings, understanding technical requirements in the RFP and preparation of technical proposals for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Have to effectively manage customer engagements and stake holder management to meet organisational goals
• Use project management tools viz Critical chain project management, Agile framework along with like MS project, concerto/Jira ...
• Market research to arrive at best supply chain sources/ develop new sources etc towards meeting customer requirements and program deadlines.
• Conducting site visits as an when needed to monitor progress and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Organising management review meetings to ensure alignment with project goals.
