- Allocate duties and responsibilities to nursing staff.
- Monitor staffing requirements and arrange coverage for operational needs.
- Ensure timely and appropriate nursing care for patients.
- Coordinate with doctors regarding patient care requirements.
- Monitor medication administration and prescribed treatments.
- Review patient care documentation and nursing records.
- Ensure proper shift handovers and communication of critical information.
- Monitor patient condition and ensure timely escalation of concerns.
- Support emergency response and critical patient management.
- Monitor infection prevention and control practices.
- Coordinate with pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, OT, ICU, and other departments.
- Address routine patient and attendant concerns related to nursing services.
- Report incidents, staffing issues, and operational concerns to nursing management.
- Support orientation and guidance of new nursing staff.
- Monitor compliance with nursing SOPs and hospital protocols.
- Participate in audits, quality activities, and patient safety initiatives.
- Conduct floor or unit rounds and identify service gaps.
- Prepare shift reports and communicate pending activities to senior nursing management.
