Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Status updates to NPD tracker and set work priorities.
• Regularly track allocated tasks per planning.
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables for NPD.
• Check DFM/ DFA feasibility and coordinate with shop floor.
• Attend NPD kick-off meetings.
• Participate in feasibility review meetings with the CFT.
• Prepare Open Issues List and seek clarifications from customer.
• Technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
• Review costing BOM and manufacturing BOM.
• Prepare DXF drawings and Snap BOM for production.
• Maintain data management mechanisms.
• Maintain team discipline.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. 1. Accountable for status update to NPD tracker & set the priority of work.
2. 2. Regular track the allocated tasks/works as per the planning.
3. 3. Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables for NPD.
4. 4. Check manufacturing (DFM) & Assembly (DFA) feasibility of the product. Coordination with the shop floor.
5. 5. Attending kick off meeting of NPD
6. 6. Attending manufacturing feasibility review meeting along with CFT.
7. 7. Prepare technical query list (OIL - Open Issues List ) and take clarification from customer.
8. 8. Technical discussion with customer and supplier (if require)
9. 9. Review of costing BOM and manufacturing BOM.
10. 10. Preparation of DXF ( Drawing Exchange Format ) & Snap BOM for production.
11. 11. Managing Team discipline
12. 12. Maintain data management mechanism.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 1. Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes which apply on sheet metal & machining process.
2. 2. Knowledge of Welding process and relevant Standard
3. 3. Knowledge of Mechanical joining and relevant Standard
4. 4. Knowledge of Surface treatment and relevant Standard
5. 5. Knowledge of CAD software preferable solid edge and Auto CAD (or any CAD software)

B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical) with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience with good communication skills.
