Job summary

Tata Communications in Pune is seeking a NOC Transmission Engineer with 1.5+ years of hands-on experience to monitor and manage network events around the clock.

The role requires BE/BTech, L1/L1.5 support level, and willingness to work Australian shifts between 1:30am and 12:30pm. Immediate joiner preferred; notice period up to 30 days.

Experience with Netcool, Remedy, E6000, NxT, and Tableau is preferred, along with basic telecom knowledge across access, backhaul and core networks.

Qualifications

• 24x7 monitoring of network events, alarms and ticket creation.
• Alarms filtration and ticket raising based on business rules.
• Ticket co-relations and assignment to correct resolver group.
• Alarm-event correlation and service impact assessment.
• Notify Retail/Wholesale Service Provider of incidents/outages.
• Support and execute Real Time Change Management (Planned Outage).
• Maintain work logs for each ticket.
• Good written English and communications skills.
• Fair understanding of broadband network; identify faulty segments (Access/Backhaul/Core).
• Knowledge of Netcool, Remedy, E6000, NxT, Tableau preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network events and alarms on a 24x7 basis.
• Raise tickets and ensure correct categorization and assignment.
• Correlate alarms with events to assess service impact.
• Coordinate with resolver groups for issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate work logs for all tickets.

Shift: Australian shifts (1.30am- 10.30am / 2.30am-11.30am / 3.30am to 12.30pm)

Job Description for NOC Transmission Role

• 24X7 Monitoring of network events, alarms and ticket creation

• Perform Alarm-Event correlation, Service Impact Assessment

1+ Years of experience in:

• Basic Telecommunications network understanding
