Job summary

GREATLINK TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD is seeking an experienced NOC/NMS engineer to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network alarms, events, and performance metrics for ISP operations. You will manage complex infrastructure across routers, switches, and security devices to ensure reliable service.

Role requires 5–7 years in NOC/NMS, strong routing/IP skills, and hands-on experience with major vendors. On-call night shifts may be required; opportunities for growth exist in a fast-paced telecom

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or diploma in CS/electronics or related field.
• CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications preferred.
• 5–7 years in NOC/NMS operations in ISP/telecom environments.
• Strong IP networking, routing, MPLS, VLAN, NAT, DNS, DHCP knowledge.
• Hands-on with Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Huawei devices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network alarms, events, and performance metrics using NMS/EMS tools.
• Handle escalated issues from Customers/L1 engineers and resolve or escalate to L3.
• Perform configuration, maintenance, and health checks on core routers, switches, firewalls, BRAS, CGNAT, and access network elements.
• Coordinate with field teams and vendors for fault resolution and maintenance.
• Maintain network documentation and incident trackers; conduct RCA and incident reports for major outages.
• Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and deployment of new services; support scheduled maintenance and changes.
• Ensure SLA compliance and assist in customer impact analysis during downtime.

Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network alarms, events, and performance metrics using NMS/EMS tools.

Handle escalated issues from Customers/ L1 engineers and resolve or escalate to L3 when required.

Perform configuration, maintenance, and health checks on core routers, switches, firewalls, BRAS, CGNAT, and access network elements (OLT, L2 & L3 Switches).

Coordinate with field teams and vendors for fault resolution and maintenance activities.

Maintain network documentation and update incident/issue trackers and logs.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare incident reports for major outages.

Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and deployment of new services.

Provide support for scheduled maintenance and emergency changes, including after-hours or on-call as required.

Ensure SLA compliance and assist in customer impact analysis during downtime or performance degradation.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.

Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CCIE , JNCIA, or equivalent are preferred.

Technical Skills & Experience:

5to 7 years of experience in NOC/NMS operations within an ISP or telecom environment.

Strong understanding of IP networking (IPv4/IPv6), routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), MPLS, VLAN, NAT, DNS, DHCP.

Hands-on experience with Nokia,Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Huawei, or similar network devices.

Familiarity with broadband technologies (FTTH, GPON, PPPoE).

Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, Cacti, or proprietary EMS/NMS platforms.

Basic Linux CLI knowledge for troubleshooting network systems.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and coordination abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and during night shifts/weekends if required.

Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
