Job summary

Excitel Broadband Private Ltd. in Delhi is seeking a NOC L2 Engineer responsible for day-to-day network operations during shifts and maintaining highly available architectures.

You will monitor network infrastructure, troubleshoot devices, document designs, and manage LAN/WAN systems with experience on Huawei, Nokia, Mikrotik, and EPON/GPON.

The role requires 24x7 shift flexibility, night shifts, and a 6-day work week, with collaboration across vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Telecommunication with at least 4 years in NOC.
• Experience in Telecom/ISP is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Summary

We are looking for NOC L2 Engineer who will be responsible forday-to-day network operationsduring their shift and ensure the maintenance ofhighly available network architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor the network infrastructure, identifying and resolving network issues in real time.
• Troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including routers, switches, and transport protocols.
• Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
• Implement, administer, and maintain LAN and wide area network WAN systems.
• Experience with Huawei, Nokia, Mikrotik, Optilink switches, and EPON/GPON systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 3 and Layer 2 networks with knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, STATIC, MPLS.
• Manage switch configurations, including VTP, Access, Trunksettings.
• Provide detailed technical input for hardware and software selection processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve network issues efficiently and maintain high availability.

• Basic knowledge of EPON/GPON.
• Good knowledge of L-3/L-2 Network.
• Configuration knowledge of Switch (VTP, ACCESS, TRUNK).
• Knowledge of application transport protocols and network communication systems.
• Experience with local area network and wide area network administration. ISP preferable.
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience

• B.Tech in Telecommunication or any other related field with minimum 4 years of experience in NOC role.

Note:

The position requires flexibility for24x7 shift work, including night shifts, and involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders. This is a 6 day working role.
