Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services is seeking experienced Data Center / Telecom Field Engineers and Field Technicians to support data-center build, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and break-fix projects at customer sites in Mumbai.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in data-center infrastructure, fiber optics, structured cabling, network equipment installation, fiber testing, and hardware troubleshooting. The role is highly hands-on and site-based with shifts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Data Center / Telecom field experience.
• Fiber Optics and Structured Cabling.
• Single Mode / Multimode Fiber.
• Read and execute MOPs (Method of Procedure).
• Experience with fiber testing and network/optical testing.
• CCNA or relevant technical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and break-fix activities at customer data-center sites.
• Install and manage racks, chassis, PDUs, servers, routers, switches, and associated network infrastructure.
• Install and maintain fiber-optic and structured cabling infrastructure.
• Work with LC, SC, MPO/MTP, Single Mode (SM), and Multimode (MM) fiber.
• Perform fiber testing, inspection, and troubleshooting using OTDR, VFL, OPM, OLS, and Fiberscope.
• Perform network and optical testing using tools/technologies such as BERT, RFC2544, iPerf, and Y.1564.
• Carry out hardware replacement and troubleshoot network, fiber, and equipment-related issues.
• Read, understand, and execute MOPs (Method of Procedure) as per customer requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation of installation, testing, troubleshooting, and completed activities.
• Follow data-center safety, security, and operational procedures.

Ideal Candidate

Candidates from Data Center, Telecom, Network Infrastructure, Fiber Optics, Structured Cabling, IT Infrastructure Services, or System Integration backgrounds are preferred.

The role is highly hands‑on and site‑based, so candidates with practical field experience are preferred over candidates with only NOC, remote monitoring, or theoretical networking experience.
