Job summary

Movate Technologies is seeking a proactive NOC Engineer to monitor, maintain and support enterprise network infrastructure. The role requires hands-on experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and escalation across LAN/WAN environments.

You will work in a 24x7 support environment, ensuring maximum network availability and performance, coordinating with vendors and IT teams. The candidate should be adept at using SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or similar tools and be comfortable

Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure using monitoring platforms ( SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, PRTG, Nagios or similar).
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN and internet connectivity issues; handle VPN, routing, switching and firewall incidents.
• Respond to alerts, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with vendors/service providers for outages.
• Manage incident tickets and service requests through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Support change management activities and planned maintenance; ensure SLA adherence.
• Participate in rotational shifts/on-call support as required.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled NOC Engineer to monitor, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and escalation handling across LAN/WAN environments. The role requires working in a 24x7 support environment and ensuring maximum network availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure using tools such as SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, PRTG, Nagios, or similar monitoring platforms.
• Perform proactive monitoring of routers, switches, firewalls, WAN circuits, and network services.
• Troubleshoot network incidents related to routing, switching, VPN, wireless, and firewall connectivity.
• Respond to alerts, analyze root causes, and provide timely resolutions or escalations.
• Manage incident tickets and service requests through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuit outages and hardware issues.
• Perform network health checks and generate operational reports.
• Support change management activities and planned maintenance tasks.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational procedures, and documentation standards.
• Participate in rotational shifts and on-call support as required.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and VPN technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or HP networking devices.
• Experience in troubleshooting LAN/WAN and internet connectivity issues.
• Knowledge of firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or Cisco ASA.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, Nagios, PRTG, or Zabbix.
• Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and incident management.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• CCNA / CCNP Certification preferred.
• Experience in enterprise or managed services environments.
• Understanding of network security best practices.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or related field.

Shift Requirement

• Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.
