About the Role
We are seeking an experienced NOC Engineer to join our dynamic Network Operations Center team. This role requires a dedicated professional who can monitor, maintain, and ensure optimal performance of enterprise network infrastructure and systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in incident management, troubleshooting, operational stability, and maintaining high service availability across environments.
Key Responsibilities
Network Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor network systems, servers, applications, and infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Identify, acknowledge, and document alerts/events in the incident management system.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and resolution of network, system, and application alerts.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues before they impact business operations.
- Ensure SLA adherence, response times, and operational stability across all supported environments.
Major Incident Management (MIM)
- Support Major Incident Management by identifying P1/P2 incidents and initiating MIM processes.
- Coordinate and participate in major incident bridge calls with technical teams.
- Provide timely communication and status updates to stakeholders and business teams during outages.
- Track incident progress and ensure action items are completed within defined timelines.
- Maintain accurate incident timelines, impact analysis, and communication logs.
- Support preparation of Major Incident Reports (MIR) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation.
- Ensure adherence to escalation matrix, governance, and communication protocols.
Incident Resolution & Escalation
- Perform initial troubleshooting and incident resolution for network and system-related issues.
- Escalate complex technical issues to L2/L3 support teams in a timely manner.
- Escalate unresolved or high‑risk incidents to leadership and service management teams.
- Identify recurring incidents and recommend preventive actions and monitoring improvements.
Documentation & Process Management
- Maintain accurate documentation, knowledge base updates, and detailed shift handovers.
- Support post‑incident reviews and ensure closure activities are completed.
- Document all operational activities and maintain incident records for audit and reporting.
- Contribute to process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience as a NOC Engineer or in Network Operations.
- Proven experience in incident management and major incident coordination.
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, or similar.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ticketing/incident management tools.
- Understanding of network infrastructure and troubleshooting methodologies.
