A leading IT services company in Bangalore is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to monitor, manage, and support enterprise network infrastructure. Responsibilities include proactive monitoring of network devices, incident triage, and maintaining operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have 6-9 years of experience in NOC, strong networking skills including TCP/IP and VLANs, and familiarity with Cisco or Juniper devices. This is a contract role at the mid-senior level.

Qualifications

• Maintain ITSM records and compliance with security policies.
• Maintain ITSM records (ServiceNow/Remedy), SOPs, runbooks, and KB articles.
• Ensure compliance with security policies during troubleshooting and configuration tasks.

About the Role:

We are hiring a Network Operations Engineer to monitor, manage, and support enterprise network infrastructure. The role includes proactive monitoring, incident triage, coordination with L2/L3 teams, and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network devices, links, and critical services; respond to incidents within SLAs.
• Escalate unresolved issues, coordinate with vendors and internal teams for RFO.
• Conduct routine health checks on routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.
• Maintain ITSM records (ServiceNow/Remedy), SOPs, runbooks, and KB articles.
• Ensure compliance with security policies during troubleshooting and configuration tasks.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related field.
• 6–9 years in Network Operations/NOC.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent devices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools.
• Basic troubleshooting of VPNs, firewalls, wireless APs.
• Strong communication and cross‑team coordination.
