Job summary

Remi Process Plant And Machinery in India seeks a Mechanical Engineer to drive end-to-end new product development, from concept through launch. You will design components, perform analyses, prototype, validate, and document products to meet customer specs and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Lead end-to-end new product development projects from concept to launch.

Role & responsibilities

• New Product Development: Lead and manage end-to-end new product development projects from concept generation through product launch and production release.
• Product Design & Development: Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems in line with customer requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Engineering Analysis: Perform design calculations, engineering analysis, product evaluation, and design optimization activities.
• Prototyping & Validation: Coordinate prototype development, product testing, validation, and reliability assessments to ensure performance and quality objectives are achieved.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, engineering specifications, test reports, and product development documentation.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with Manufacturing, Production, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
• Problem Solving: Conduct root cause analysis, failure analysis, and troubleshooting of product and design-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Management Reporting: Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, testing results, and development progress to Management.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 810 years of experience in New Product Development (NPD) and/or Research & Development (R&D).
• Hands-on experience in gearboxes, motors, seals, pumps, power transmission products, or other rotating equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, machine elements, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering standards.
• Experience in product testing, validation, reliability assessment, and performance evaluation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, project co-ordination and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
