Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled and proactive Data Center Network & Security Operations Lead to join our IT Infrastructure & Security team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum network uptime across data centers, disaster recovery sites, and office locations while managing network security, firewalls, and incident escalations in a continuous 24/7/365 environment.
You will work alongside a dedicated team of network engineers, security specialists, and service desk professionals committed to delivering seamless operations and superior service.
In this role, you will:
Lead Day-to-Day Operations & Incident Resolutions: Oversee 24/7/365 data center operations by monitoring real-time security events using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, troubleshooting complex network issues (including Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and Layer 2/3 routing/switching), and delivering timely resolutions to maintain continuous network uptime.
Collaborate with Internal Teams and External Partners: Coordinate directly with Level 2 and Level 3 engineering teams, IT service desk personnel, key stakeholders, and multiple OEMs, ISPs, and network service providers (such as Cisco, Fortinet, Tata Communications Limited (TCL), Jio, and Airtel) to manage major escalations, drive project deliverables, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Ensure Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Perform rigorous system and security audits, maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensure alignment with ITIL disciplines (Incident, Problem, and Change Management), and uphold all project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
The ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience in data center network operations, firewall implementation, and team leadership within a 24/7 environment.
Strong technical knowledge of network protocols (Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)), firewall architectures (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, SonicWall, Sophos, Palo Alto), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Load Balancers, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
Proven ability in stakeholder communication, vendor management, team leadership, project coordination, and incident escalation handling.
Relevant industry certification or formal education in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g., ITIL certification or vendor-specific network security credentials).
