Lumen Technologies India is seeking a Senior Engineer for our Security Operations team, specializing in Fortinet firewall technologies. You will configure, monitor, upgrade, and support Fortinet infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet firewall technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, VPNs, NAT, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems like Remedy, ServiceNow.
• Fortinet NSE certifications (e.g., NSE4, NSE5, or higher) preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash) for automation.
• Exposure to other security platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Check Point)

Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Fortinet security appliances including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiAuthenticator.
• Lead firewall rule reviews, policy optimization, and change management processes.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, alerts, and anomalies in real-time.
• Perform regular health checks, firmware upgrades, and patch management.
• Collaborate with network, cloud, and application teams to ensure secure architecture and integration.
• Conduct root cause analysis for security incidents and provide detailed incident reports.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and analysts.
