Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the security of the network & security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, Load balancer, ISE and proxy systems.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access.
- Analyze and respond to security incidents and breaches, providing timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall organizational security posture.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and audits to identify potential security risks.
- Document security processes and create reporting metrics to track compliance and performance.
- Periodically update the system software, taking periodic backup and maintained device lifecycle
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and optimization of network and security devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, WAF, IDS/IPS, etc.).
- Validate and implement network/security designs as per project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Execute and oversee business-critical changes with proper risk assessment and rollback planning fallowed by CAB process.
- Configure and manage firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Check Point).
- Implement automation for operational activities with python or other scripting tools.
Operations & Troubleshooting
- Act as the L3 escalation point for complex incidents and problems.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical issues and provide permanent fixes.
- Monitor, analyze, and resolve advanced network and security issues across LAN, WAN, Data Center, and Cloud environments.
Collaboration
- Work closely with architects, project managers, and cross‑functional teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
- Coordinate with ISPs, OEMs, and vendors for escalations and advanced troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, QoS, MPLS, SD-WAN).
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper, HP, or equivalent enterprise networking gear.
- Deep understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS protection, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with SIEM tools, log analysis, and incident response.
- Cloud networking/security (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Data Center networking (VLANs, VPC, HSRP, LACP, NAT, ACLs).
Certifications (Preferred)
- CCNP/CCIE (Routing & Switching or Security)
- Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 4/7, or equivalent
- ITIL Foundation (for change/incident management)
